Yobe State is experiencing unprecedented growth under Governor Mai Mala Buni’s leadership, with significant strides in road construction and drainage projects. The government’s commitment to enhancing infrastructure is evident in ongoing projects aimed at improving accessibility, safety, and overall development across the state.

According to him “Some notable achievements include, Road Construction for Township roads in Potiskum, Gashu’a, Nguru, Buni-Yadi, Damagum, Babbangida, and Jajimaji have been constructed or renovated.
“Upgrades to drainage infrastructure aim to mitigate flood risks and ensure public safety. Economic Empowerment. The construction of modern markets in Damaturu, Potiskum, Nguru, and Gashu’a, as well as a Trailer Transit Park in Potiskum, boosts economic activity”.

Others he listed are Education and Healthcare, Investments in education summits, school renovations, and healthcare facilities, including the Yobe State University Teaching Hospital, demonstrate Governor Buni’s dedication to human development.
Recent inspection visits by Secretary to the State Government Baba Malam Wali and Commissioner of Works Engr. Wakil Duddaye underscore the administration’s commitment to enhancing road networks and drainage systems.
