Results of the scorecard showed varying levels of performance and recognition among the aspirants. Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan recorded the highest overall performance, with an average score of over 90 per cent, and was selected for assessment by all five groups.
Other aspirants recorded different outcomes, with some showing strong performance scores where assessed but being selected by fewer groups, reflecting varying levels of recognition and perception among participants.
Observers noted that the process clearly distinguished between popularity, defined by how many groups selected a scoring candidate and performance, measured by leadership competence based on the scorecard criteria.
Participants and speakers at the summit commended the quality and objectivity of the scorecard criteria, the transparent approach adopted by the Coalition, and the credibility of the scoring process.
Many described the summit as one of the most structured and objective youth-led political engagements in the state in recent times, noting that it provided a practical framework for informed leadership evaluation.
The Coalition of Yobe-East Progressive Youths reiterated that it remains non-partisan and that the summit did not amount to an endorsement of any aspirant.

According to the organisers, the exercise was intended to reflect collective youth perception and encourage evidence-based discussion on leadership, rather than promote political interests.
However, participants observed that the outcome of the objective scorecard exercise aligned with earlier public calls by the Coalition urging Sen. Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan to consider contesting the 2027 governorship — a position that, they said, was now reinforced by an open and youth-driven assessment process.
The summit concluded with a renewed call for sustained youth engagement in governance discourse and leadership evaluation as the 2027 elections approach. Organisers expressed optimism that the scorecard framework developed at the summit would continue to guide informed political participation among young people in Yobe State.
