Zamfara abducted schoolgirls regain freedom after Four days in captivity
The abducted female students of Government Secondary School Jangebe in Talata Mafara Local Government Area of Zamfara State, kidnapped by bandits last Friday have been released.
The VMTNews reports that Governor Bello Matawalle received the released schoolgirls at around 4 am on Tuesday March 2, 2021 at Gusau Government House.
Matawalle said a total of 279 kidnapped schoolgirls has been released successfully.

He commended the all stakeholders who contributed to the release of the students and promised to continue with the ongoing peace process in the state
He said the state government would make sure that all the victims undergo medical examinations to ascertain their state of health.
The Governor appealed to parents of the children to consider the incident as an act God.
He called on the people of the state to continue to pray for the sustainance of peace and stability in the state.
Matawalle appreciated the federal government and all other stakeholders who contributed to the successful release of the children.
