ZAMFARA ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS MAMMAGA AUDITOR GENERAL FOR LOCAL GOVERNMENT
The Zamfara House of Assembly has confirmed Malam Aminu Mammaga as the Auditor General for Local Governments in the state.
This is contained in a statement in Gusau, on Wednesday by Malam Nasiru Usman Biyabiki, Director General, Press Affairs to the House.
According to Biyabiki, Mammaga was confirmed at the assembly’s plenary chaired by the Deputy Speaker of the state assembly, Alhaji Musa Bawa Musa Yankuzo.
“Presenting the request for the confirmation, the Deputy leader of the house, Nasir Bello Lawal (APC, Bungudu West) called on members of the house to consider and approve the nomination of Aminu Mammaga for the position of Auditor General for Local Governments.
“Earlier, the Deputy Speaker, had read the nomination letter from office of the Secretary to the State Government requesting the house to approve the nominee.

“After deliberations by the lawmakers, the Deputy Speaker said that the assembly confirmed the nominee to serve as the Auditor General for Local Governments in the state”, Biyabiki said.
He also said that similarly, the assembly also passed a bill in to law for the establishment and management of the State Mass Transit Authority.
