ZAMFARA AUDITOR GENERAL, ALI ABDULLAHI IBRAHIM DIES AT A PRIVATE HOSPITAL ABUJA

The Zamfara State Auditor General, Ali Abdullahi Ibrahim died at a private hospital Abuja following a brief illness.

This is contained in a statement issued by the Director General Media, Public Enlightenment and Communication Government House Gusau, Malam Yusuf Idris.

According to the statement, Gov. Bello Matawalle mourn the death of the state Auditor General, who passed away in the early hours of Yesterday, Monday at a private hospital in Abuja as a result of a brief illness

DG said Matawalle who was represented at the funeral prayers of the deceased in Tsafe town, by the Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya described the death as a great loss to government and entire people of the state.

“He commended the deceased for the role he played especially during the state verification excercise that saw the total cleaning of ghost workers in the state civil service payroll.

“The late Auditor General is hardworking and honest civil servant who contributed immensely to the development of Zamfara state in different capacities.

“Matawalle prayed Almighty Allah to reward him with Jannatul Firdaus and give his family the fortitude to bear the loss”, he said.

The governor also while condoled the emir of Tsafe, Alhaji Muhammad Bawa and entire people of Tsafe emirate said it is very painful to loss an illustrious son who is outstanding in bringing assistance to his people urging the emirate and the immediate family of the deceased to take heart and pray for his departed soul.

The funeral prayer was led by the Chief Imam of Mus’ab Bin Umair Juma’at Mosque Tsafe, Malam Ibrahim Aliyu.

The funeral prayer was also attended by the Emir of Tsafe Alhaji Muhammad Bawa, Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Kabiru Balarabe, Chairman Local Government Service Commission Alhaji Haruna Salau Tsafe and Special Adviser on Security Matters, DIG Mamman Tsafe (Rtd) among others government functionaries.
