ZAMFARA GETS NEW POLICE COMMISSIONER

The Newly deployed Commissioner of Police to Zamfara state, CP Hussaini Rabi’u has assumed duty.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Friday by the Police Public Relations Officer in the state SP Muhammad Shehu.

According to the statement, ” the state police command wishes to inform members of the general public that, Cp Hussain Rabi’u an indigene of Niger state has assumed duty on 6th May, 2021 as the 30th Commissioner of Police in the state”.

“Rabi’u took over from his predecessor Mr Abutu Yaro who was redeployed to Imo state.

“The new zamfara state police boss, was born on 26th March, 1962 in Niger state.

“He attended both primary and secondary schools in the state”, Shehu said.

The new CP attended University of Sokoto where he graduated in 1987 with Bachelor in Education.

“After his successful graduation, he did his National Youth Service Corp (NYSC) in Oyo state in the year 1988.

“Cp Hussain Rabi’u was enlisted into the Nigeria police force on 3rd march ,1990 as cadet Assistant superintendent of police (C/ASP) where he was professionally trained at the prestigious police Academy (kaduna Annex).

“After his successful passed out, Cp Hussaini Rabi’u was posted to Delta state police command where he undergone a one year compulsory attachment for cadet officers, and later served in various police commands/ formations.

The new commissioner of police in his introductory speech to the strategic and tactical commanders of the command, reiterated his determination and commitment to enhance robust policing to actualize the transformation and repositioning agenda of the Inspector General of police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba.

He also promised to work in collaboration with other security agencies and host communities so that community policing concept of the Nigeria police Force can be greatly achieved.

CP Rabi’u therefore seeked for cooperation, collaboration and partnership from members of the public by giving useful and timely information to enable the command rid the state of all forms of criminality.
