ZAMFARA GOVERNORS’ WIFE DISBURSES CASH, CLOTHING MATERIALS TO PATIENTS, WOMEN GROUPS
Hajiya Balkisu Bello-Matawalle, the wife of Zamfara State Gov. has donated cash and clothing materials to patients, youths, women groups and associations in Talata Mafara local government area of the state.
This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday by the Press Secretary to the governors wife, Asabe Sanda Adamu.
According to the statement, the beneficiaries include 100 patients suffering from various diseases, 100 vulnerable women including widows and orphans as well as small scale traders associations comprising males and females.
“A total of 100 patients selected from Pediatric, Maternity, Surgical, Males and Females Wards of the General Hospital Talata Mafara was given N10,000 each.
“Another 100 women comprising widows and orphans was given clothing materials and N1000 each.

“Youths and women small scale traders associations was given cash ranging from N500,000 to N200,000 to each of the association,” she said.
She said that the gesture is part of the gov’s wife programmes to assist vulnerable groups especially various victims of banditry activities in the state.
During the visit, the governors wife had earlier visited Talata Mafara emirs’ palace to seek his fatherly blessings, guidance and councelings.
In his remark, the Emir of Talata Mafara, Alhaji Bello Muhammad Barmo commended the gov’s wife for the gesture and described it as timely.
“This is very good forsight considering the way it will reduce hardship among people especially those at the poverty line.
“We are aware of your efforts in assisting the needy at various categories, we commend you for that, we pray to Almighty Allah to reward you and bless you more”, the emir said.
He called on people of the area to continue to support Matawalle’s administration to succeed in various good projects it initiated to promote the state.
The monarch also appealed to people to embark on special prayers to Allah to end the security challenges facing the state.
