ZAMFARA INFORMATION COMMISSIONER TASKS NUZAMSS CARETAKER COMMITTEE ON UNITY 

The Zamfara government has called on the newly elected Caretaker Committee Executives of the National Union of Zamfara State Students (NUZAMSS) to ensure unity, peace, justice and fairness.

The state Commissioner for Information and Culture, Alhaji Munnir Haidara made the call in Gusau at the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected National Caretaker Executives Committee of the Union.

Haidara assured state government’s commitments towards promoting education sector of the state.

He noted that one of the key areas given priority by Gov Dauda Lawal’s  administration in the state was education.

“As we all know,  education is necessary to the development of any society, I am therefore appealing to you as caretaker leaders to bring back the glory of the union.

“You must ensure unity, progress, peace and development among entire students of the state.

“Therefore, I urge you to ensure transparency and accountability in your leadership”, the Commissioner added.

Also speaking, the Director of Science, state Ministry of Education, Science and Technology,  Malam Lawal Sambo charged the union leaders to be just and fair while discharging the assignment given to them.

Sambo noted that the state government was making arrangement to return payment of scholarship to the indigene students of the state.

Earlier, a member, Board of Trustees of the union, Umar Mahmud commended  leaders of the factional group of the union for their decision to unite in one umbrella.

In a remark, the NUZAMSS new national caretaker president, Abubakar Galadima promised to take the union to the next level of development.

He also promised to ensure general welfare of the entire students of the state in Nigeria and abroad.
