Zamfara seals illegal Nursing Home, 3 Clinics
The Zamfara State Government has sealed a Nursing Home and Three Clinics in the state for illegal operation.
The Director Inspectorate Services, of the State Ministry of Health, Bashiru Adamu disclosed this to newsmen in Gusau on Wednesday.
Adamu noted the state has embarked on general supervision of Private health facilities across the state to ensure that they operate in line with law and order.
According to him, the sealed illegal facilities are private clinic in Matuzgi village in Talata-Mafara LGA, Private Clinic in Nasarawa area Gusau, Dausadau Nursing home in Gusau and a Clinic in Samawa village in Bungudu LGA.
“Out of over 40 private health facilities across the state, registered with the ministry, we have so far visited 10 where we we sealed four of them.
“The exercise is continuing, we will continue to ensure effective supervision of health facilities in the state to fight against illegal operation”, Adamu noted that.
In his remark, the State Commissioner of Health, Alhaji Yahaya Kanoma said that the state government would not fold its arms to allow illegal health care centers to operate in the state.
Kanoma said state government under governor Bello Matawalle is committed to ensure effective health care delivery in the state.
He called on the general public in the state to expose any illegal clinic or hospital in their communities.
