200 Students’ Matriculated In Senator Wamakko’s North West University.

The founder of Northwest University, Sokoto, Senator Aliyu Magatakrda Wamakko today in his welcome address at the maiden matriculation of the Ivory Towers said knowledge is the key to unlocking human potentials.
Wamakko who said the matriculation of the 200 students mark the beginning of yet another transformative journey for each and everyone of them, added that, in the university, knowledge will not only be gained but nurtured.
While noting that success is not just measured by grades but the positive impacts individuals have in their societies, Wamakko reeled out the motto of the university to be, “Knowledge, Excellence and Success”.
On the vision behind the establishment of the university, Wamakko said, “It is our fervent desire to to build an institution that serves as hub of knowledge where ruburst research is carried out, and cutting edge innovations are made”‘.
Continuing, Wamakko said, “”For us, success goes beyond individual achievement. We measure success by the positive impact our students and graduates will have on their respective fields and society at large.
“”To realize this vision, we have assembled a distinctive and dedicated faculty, with expertise in various disciplines. We also invest in state-of-the-art infrastructure, research facilities and technology to give you a world class educational experience”.

Wamakko assured.
On his part, the pioneer Vice Chancellor, Professor Ahmed Maigari Ibrahim said Northwest University is fully licensed by the National University Commission (NUC) in 2022 as a full fledged private University,.
The university which commenced academic activities since 15th May, 2023. There are 3 faculties with 15 departments and a student pupolation of about 200″‘.
Earlier in a goodwill message, the President of Association of African Private University Owners’ Professor Abubakar Sadiq Haruna said the
Northwest University has all it takes to compete with leading universities in the world.
In a related development, the Vice Chancellor of Sokoto State University, Prof Bashir Garba said 158 are private if the 264 in Nigeria.
“”In Sokoto, we are not left out, we now have two private Universities and these is the second one.
“‘We urge you not to relent to continue to support education in the state and nation at large as that is the only step we can collectively undertake to bring our people out of poverty and backwardness”
On his part, Professor Adamu Garba Gwarzo who is the only young man that owns 4 private Universities all over the world, affirmed that, the newly established North west university is going to be amongst the best globally.
While urging the matriculating students to embrace and believe in globalization, Professor Gwarzo said he cherishes Wamakko for believing in youths as leaders of tomorrow.
According to him, Wamakko has demonstrated this believe by promoting and supporting the candidature of a young man to win the governor of the State.
The State governor, Ahmed Aliyu Sokoto after congratulating Wamakko for making huge impact in the lives of many, promised that the State Government will sponsor 85 students on scholarship in the NorthWest University.
Other dignitaries at the matriculation took turn to give goodwill messages and prayed for Wamakko.
