Zamfara Govt. partners NGOs in the fight against insecurity.
The Zamfara State Government has said that it will partner with Non Governmental Organisations (NGOs) in the fight against insecurity in the state.
The Special Adviser to Governor Bello Matawalle on Directorate of NGOs, Dr Aslam Aliyu disclosed this in Gusau on Monday while meeting with representatives of the NGOs in the state.
According to her, the major priority of the present’s administration in the state led by Matawalle is committed in providing lasting solutions to the dwindling security challenges facing the state.

She said the meeting is part of the directorate’s complements to both state and federal governments and security agencies in tackling the challenges.
“You know, there was an allegation that some foreign NGOs working in the state are using insecurity in order to get access to abundant mineral and natural resources.
“We are committed to tackle the menace of insecurity in the state.
“As NGOs you have greater role to play in this regard, I want you to help us in providing useful information about the activities of suspecious NGOs”.
Speaking on behalf of the NGOs working in the state, Alhaji Abba Dankande commended the directorate for organising the meeting and assured continued support and cooperation to the state government in an effort to achieve lasting peace in the state.
Dankande who is the Chairman of Global Network for Islamic Justice an NGO said, “we will continue to monitor any foreign NGO working in the state”.
” We promised to report those with suspecious activities to government and security agencies” he added.
