Study Tour: Buratai emphasizes the importance of foresight, endurance and focus in achieving visionary objectives
….Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and former Ambassador to the Republic of Benin, Lt. General Tukur Yusufu Buratai (Rtd.), has charged Air Force Officers to imbibe foresight, endurance, and focus as the surest path to greatness in their chosen careers.
It was a beehive of activities at Tukur & Tukur Buratai Farms Keffi Nasarawa State, where former Chief of Army Staff and former Nigerian Ambassador to Republic of Benin, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai hosted participants from the Nigerian Air Force War College on a study tour.
General Buratai a man of great distinction and holder of the traditional titles of a Betara of Biu and a Garkuwan Keffi shared his wealth of experience with the participants focusing on Post Service, agricultural endeavors and leadership.
“To succeed, you must have focus and pursue it to a logical conclusion,” he stressed, highlighting the need for determination and perseverance.
He further encouraged the participants to cultivate passion and a strong will to achieve their dreams, noting that success rarely comes easily, but with persistence, it is attainable.
He emphasizes the importance of foresight, endurance and focus in achieving visionary objectives.
The Commandant of the Air War College, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) AG Kehinde, praised Buratai leadership virtues noting that he is an accomplished leader and statesman who has achieved Great Heights.
” we are careful to showcase those who have gone ahead and have left their footprint on sands, so that we can be motivated to want to be like them. and that is one major reason why we are here.
“By every standard, you are an accomplished leader and statesman who has achieved a great height that not all have been able to attain.” AVM Kehinde said.”
Participants were given a comprehensive tour of the farm’s various components including its renowned Snakes farm with most of an extensive collection of species as well as his agricultural activities and animal husbandry operations.
Wing commander A. O Idoko a participant praised, General Buratai visionary leadership acknowledging that the visit was insightful and inspiring.

” What i have seen here today so far is a pure demonstration of visionary leadership back up by foresight and planning because it only takes a mind of deliberate planning to get something like this.
”And what i have here today has spurred me to want to take after the personality of General Buratai, he has been able to built for himself a good career in the Nigerian Army and he is carrying on his legacy today here and also contributing to National development on his part”
“Lieutenant Colonel Alliana Ayisi, an allied participant from Cameroon, noted that the visit was insightful, saying, “It is really insightful for me because it has inspired me to see what can be achieved even before retirement – a vision to make our dreams a reality.
Engr. Hamisu Tukur Buratai, the Managing Director of the farms provided a detailed brief of the farm’s activities highlighting its commitment to innovative farming practices and national development.
The guests were later treated to a luncheon in the usual style of the retired General.
