“I am glad to state that our government has been consistent in sponsoring students to pursue education both at home and abroad, with over 38,000 benefitting from the state scholarship scheme under this administration,” he said.

The governor said that the gesture marked the fourth consecutive time his administration was sponsoring law graduates to the Nigeria Law School.

Buni said 140 out of 189 medical and allied graduates who studied in Indian universities under the state’s sponsorship had been employed, adding that the remaining 49 would be absorbed soon.

He reiterated his administration’s commitment to prioritising education and supporting all citizens of the state to pursue learning at every level.

“Similarly, this administration would continue to support the pursuance of professional certificates at the Nigeria Law School to qualify our law graduates to practice as lawyers; accountants to obtain professional certificates at ANAN or ICAN; and for administrators at ASCON,” the governor said.

Buni charged the beneficiaries to be law-abiding and uphold the image of the state during their stay at the Law School.

“You should abide by the rules and regulations of the institution and avoid issues that are detrimental to your studies.

“You should remain good ambassadors of the state to make us proud,” he added.
