Sokoto CSOs Demand Justice For Abducted, Slained 4 Year Old Lad

A group of Non Governmental Organizations Saturday did not only condemned the abduction and killing of 4 years old Ayman Abubakar but also demanded that perpetrators be brought to justice. 

Addressing newsmen on the ugly development, the CSOs group, Child Protection Network, and the Sokoto State Gender Based Violence Response Team 

led by Alhaji Abdulganiyu Abubakar, the National President of 

Network Against Child Trafficking, Abuse and Labour

(NACTAL) described the act as henious. 

NACTAL National President who was represented by the Sokoto State Coordinator, Mr Rufus Yogkong called on relevant security agencies to do the needful to ensure that Justice is served. 

“‘We extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased child. No parent should ever have to endure the unimaginable pain of losing a child in such a brutal manner”. 

While commending the efforts of the Nigeria Police force in the ongoing investigation, the group also appealed to for a thorough and transparent investigation, arrest and prosecution of all suspects as well as provision of regular updates of the matter to the public. 

In thier collective displeasure, they submitted that,”This tragedy underlines the urgent need for stronger child protection frameworks across all states, particularly in schools, places of workship and communities. 

The group also noted that the safety of every Nigerian child must be treated as a matter utmost priorit, hence saying, “justice for this young child is justice for all. We will continue to monitor this case closely and stand in solidarity with the family in their pursuit of justice”.
