APM Reps candidate pledges effective representation for Bakura/Maradun
Muhammad-Bello Bakyasuwa, House of Representatives candidate of Allied People’s Movement (APM) for Bakura/Maradun, has pledged effective and inclusive representation for his constituents if elected in the 2027 general elections.
Bakyasuwa told newsmen in Gusau that he would give priority to security, education and economic empowerment.
“My decision to join the race for Bakura/Maradun Federal Constituency seat was driven by the need to contribute to national development, particularly in addressing insecurity and education challenges right from the grassroots.
“If elected, security will be my top priority. I will prioritise security, peace-building, education and economic empowerment.
“Insecurity remains a major challenge in Zamfara and other states in northern Nigeria,” he pointed out.
According to him, farmers cannot go to their farms and traders cannot go to the markets due to the activities of bandits and kidnappers.

“This is very unfortunate, especially when you compare the present situation in Zamfara with previous years
“As a former Director, Security Matters in the Zamfara Government, and also as the immediate past Commandant of the Zamfara Anti-Thuggery Agency, I believe I have the experience in managing insecurity,” he said.
Bakyasuwa called on the people of the state to vote not on the basis of political parties but on the basis of competence at all levels in the 2027 elections.
He urged Zamfara residents to assess candidates based on their records, character, competence and ability, and not on party affiliations.
