Wife of Kebbi Gov. urges Journalists towards ensuring a peaceful,united , better, Nigeria

The Wife of the Kebbi State Governor, Dr Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu, has urged Journalists in the country, to always work towards ensuring a more peaceful, united and a better Nigeria.
Dr. Bagudu made the urge on Friday, in Birnin Kebbi, at a Media Parley, as part of the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, to mark the end of the Ramadan fast.
She also harped on the need for objective, positive and non destructive reportage .
According to her, the dishing out of propaganda, hate speeches and fake news were the genesis of the genocide in Rwanda and that perpetrated by Hitler.

” In the case of the present day Nigeria, some Judases were working tirelessly to divide and destroy Nigeria and they should not be allowed to succeed .
” Journalists in Kebbi State and Nigeria have been diligent and obejetive and you should make more efforts to change the situation for the better .
” You should sustain your laudable efforts to redress the ugly trend and harp more on what boost the unity and indivibisility of the country’, she averred.
Dr Bagudu also lamented the egocentric use of the social media and other applications, as well as Technological devices, to dish out unverified and unprofessional information.
She noted that, her husband, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu was working round the clock, to build a solid Kebbi State , adding ,” Ours is to complement this and we will not in anyway waiver .”
Dr. Bagudu also vowed to continue to be an active partner in progress with the Journalists, to entrone a better Kebbi State and Nigeria .
She also commended the Pen pushers for their tangible achievements and Programmes in the past few years, just as she promised to continue to extend her widow’s mite .
The Kebbi Governor’s Wife described Ramadan as a time of peace, reflection and merriment.
The Special Adviser to the Governor on Media, Yahaya Sarki, the Chairman of Nigerian Union of Journalist, NUJ, Alhaji Aliyu Jajirma, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media, Aliyu Bandado led journalist on Sallah homage to Dr. Zainab Shinkafi Bagudu at Government House , Birnin Kebbi.
