SSG reassures completion of Damaturu flyover as schedule

The Secretary to the Yobe Government, Alhaji Baba Malam-Wali, has reassured the completion of Damaturu flyover as scheduled.

Malam-Wali gave the assurance on Monday during an unscheduled visit to the project site in Damaturu.

He said the level of work and commitment of the contractor gave assurance that the project would be completed even before reaching the expected date of delivery.

“The project is going on schedule, and from what we have seen, I am sure it will be delivered earlier than expected.

“The quality is excellent and the people of Damaturu metropolis will enjoy it immediately after completion,” he said.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Works, Mr Muhammed Wali, said the project was one of the best in the country.

“This is one of the major projects handled by an experienced company. From what we have observed, the contractor is on course to complete the work before the stipulated time,” he said.

Mr Fadi Abi-Aad, the Area Manager of Triacta Nigeria, assured that the project would be delivered in line with specifications.

“We have been able to continue without interruption, even with the challenges of water and drainage. Everything is moving smoothly, and there is no technical issue,” he said.

The Damaturu flyover and underpass project were among the key infrastructure projects initiated by the Yobe Government to ease vehicular traffic in the state capital.
