Yobe State Governor Condoles with APC National Chairman on Mother’s Passing

His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, CON, COMN, today visited the residence of the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, to offer his heartfelt condolences on the passing of the Chairman’s mother, Madam Lydia Toma Yilwatda.

Governor Buni described the death of Madam Yilwatda, an octogenarian, as a significant loss not only to her immediate family but also to the entire APC family. 

He noted that Madam Yilwatda was a woman of wisdom and counsel whose guidance and support would be deeply missed, particularly at this crucial time for the party’s leadership.

“The passing of Madam Yilwatda is a profound loss,” Governor Buni stated.  “Her wisdom and counsel were invaluable, and her support for her son, the National Chairman, was unwavering.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.” 

He specifically highlighted the importance of Madam Yilwatda’s support during this demanding period for the party’s leadership.

Governor Buni offered prayers for the family, asking for divine comfort and strength as they navigate this difficult time. He assured Professor Yilwatda of the unwavering support and cooperation of the government and people of Yobe State throughout his tenure as National Chairman.

The visit underscored the close relationship between Governor Buni and the APC National Chairman, demonstrating solidarity during a time of personal bereavement.
