NOA, NSCDC partner to promote peaceful co-existence in Yobe
The National Orientation Agency (NOA) in Yobe says it has partnered with the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) to address insecurity and promote peaceful coexistence in the state.
The Acting State Director of NOA, Alhaji Muhammed Tikau, said this during a courtesy visit to the State Commandant of NSCDC, Alhaji Abubakar Zaria, on Monday in Damaturu.
Tikau commended NSCDC for its role in addressing crimes and conflicts, particularly the recurring clashes between herders and farmers in the state.
He said that as a member of the National Intelligence Council, NOA would continue to support efforts that fostered understanding and strengthened unity across the country.

Responding, Zaria appreciated NOA for recognising the corps’ contributions to security and social order in Yobe.
He pledged the command’s support to NOA’s mobilisation campaigns aimed at promoting government programs and reorienting citizens toward national values.
The NSCDC commandant described NOA as a strategic institution with a presence in the 17 local government areas of the state, adding that stronger collaboration would enhance their collective impact.
Highlight of the visit was the exchange of NOA’s publications, while NSCDC presented an Award of Excellence to Tikau in recognition of his leadership and dedication to national development.
