Educationist, others advise youths to prepare for life challenges to attain success
An Educationist, Mr Lawal Yusuf, as advised Nigerian youths to prepare to face rigorous challenges in life if they want to attain success in their choosen careers.
Yusuf, the Director of Ibn Qayyin Academy, gave the advice at a lecture organised by the Criterion, an Association of Muslim Women in Businesses and Professions, Oyo State District, on Saturday in Ibadan.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that the programme organised for Muslim Youths had as its topic :Career Development in Nigeria: Engaging Muslims Youths Positively”
Yusuf, who was the Guest Speaker at the event, said Nigerian youths must understand that nothing could be achieved in life without determination.
He said that career pathways should not be seen as an escape to easy life, stressing that there were no career choice made that weren’t challenging and rigorous.
“You must be prepared to go through those rigorous and challenging times to succeed in life and for you to be happy in future.
“Easy life doesn’t lead to success, you must add value to whatever field you find yourself, be relevant and as well be dedicated to the job to succeed in it.
“My advise to Muslim youths is that they should not expect to excel in their choosen careers in their comfort zone.
“They must stretch themselves and keep enhancing their professional and personal growth,” he said.
Yusuf further urged them to be a worthy ambassador of Islam and fear Allah in whatever field they find themselves.
Also speaking, the Criterion Dawah Committee Chairperson, Mrs Sakirat Ibrahim, said that the programme aimed to guide the participants on how to pursue a meaningful career, while remaining steadfast in Islamic values.

Ibrahim said that achieving success in any choosen career shouldn’t only be about material achievements, but about serving Almighty Allah, society and humanity in general.
In her remarks, the Ameerah of the Association, Prof. Morufat Balogun, called on the participants to take advantage of the lecture and as well avoid bad peer influence.
Balogun further urged Nigeria government at all levels to create more avenue to sensitise and inform youths, students on their lives expectations at the appropriate time.
Also speaking, the Amir of the Companion, an Association of Muslim Professionals and Businessmen, Oyo State branch, Alhaji Nurain Zakariyah, urged Muslims to shun fraudulent activities and prepare to take bold steps to succeed in life.
