Local Government in Bauchi screens 3,000 job applicants
The Bogoro Local Government Area (LGA) of Bauchi state has conducted screening for no fewer than 3,000 job applicants, who applied for positions in the state’s Civil Service.
Chairman of the LGA, Hon. Lawi Sumi, disclosed this in an interview with newsmen on Monday, during the screening exercise held at the council.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) recalls that the State Government had on Dec.12, 2025, launched an online portal to recruit 10,000 residents across the 20 LGAs of the state.
Gov. Bala Mohammed had said that the session would guide fair engagement, adding that many citizens had already applied through the portal.
Speaking during the screening exercise, chairman of the council represented by his Deputy, Hon Mulki Masoyi, commended the youths for their peaceful conduct during the process.

“The screening committee in Bogoro LGA, has successfully screened these candidates who applied.
“The objective of the screening is to identify the applicants, based on their ward, in line with the guidelines set by the Bauchi State Civil Service Commission,” he said
He assured that the screening committee will avoid sentiments, and ensure justice and fairness in the process.
Meanwhile, he hinted that some applicants who were non indigenes, had been identified, adding that they would be called to defend their application before the next stage.
