Yobe: Hadiza Sabo takes over as Permanent Sec., Ministry of Health.

The immediate past Provost, Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery Damaturu, Hadiza Sabo has assumed office as the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human services after she was appointed by Governor Mai Mala Buni recently.

As a seasoned civil servant with vast experience, the newly appointed Permanent Secretary took over from the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mohammed Balumi.

Shortly before taking over, the Outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mohammed Balumi congratulated the new permanent Secretary and advised her to carry every staff along in the Ministry.

“I want to congratulate you for being appointed as the new Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health and Human Services. I advise you that you be patient with every one and carry them along to ensure you succeed”

“You are not new here; you have been part and parcel of this ministry having served the Shehu Sule College of Nursing for 8 years. I wish you all the best” he said.

After handing and taking over, the new Permanent Secretary, Hadiza Sabo sought for cooperation of the staff just the way the Staff of the Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery supported.

“I want to thank Almighty Allah and Governor Mai Mala Buni for finding me worthy among Senior Civil Servants in the state to be appointed as Permanent Secretary, I am grateful.  To the Staff of the Ministry, I urge you to work hard and I promised to carry you along for the period of time that I will be here”.

“I know the Ministry of Health has many agencies under her but I want to assure you that we will all put our heads together to ensure the health sector excel in all ramifications, Insha Allah” she said.

Among the entourage that accompanied the new Permanent Secretary, include the newly appointed Provost, Shehu Sule College of Nursing and Midwifery, other management staff of the College, friends and well-wishers.
