Tinubu Lauds Buni as a “Political Strategist” and Asset to APC Success
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State for fostering healthy political developments in the state as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The President gave the commendation at the Aso Villa in Abuja during a visit by Governor Buni and the newly emerged All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Baba Malam Wali. President Tinubu praised Governor Buni and other party stakeholders for the successful conduct of the primary election that produced Wali, describing the governor as a master political strategist whose invaluable contributions remain a treasure to the APC.

Expressing full confidence in Buni’s leadership, the President stated that with the governor at the helm, he has no doubt Yobe State will remain a stronghold for the ruling party.
Turning his attention to the governorship candidate, President Tinubu noted that Yobe State is fortunate to feature a seasoned bureaucrat with a vast wealth of experience.
He expressed optimism that Wali would seamlessly build upon the legacies of the Buni administration, specifically in advancing key sectors such as education, healthcare, road infrastructure, and agricultural empowerment.

In his remarks, Governor Buni assured the President that Wali is fully equipped for the executive role, noting that his long-standing involvement in the governance system guarantees continuity without any wasted time.

The governor also extended the appreciation of the government and people of Yobe State to the federal government for its continuous support toward improving the livelihoods of the citizens.
