Yobe First: Governor Buni Urges Politicians to Eschew Bitterness After IPAC Honor

The Yobe State council of the Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) has decorated Governor Mai Mala Buni with the title of grand patron of the council, citing his significant contributions to the growth of democracy and good governance in Nigeria.

During the ceremony, the State Chairman of IPAC, Alhaji Adamu Jajere, emphasized that Governor Buni’s impact on the nation’s political landscape is indelible, stating that the history of Nigeria’s democracy cannot be written without acknowledging his role.

Jajere commended the governor for contributing immensely to democratic stability and for entrenching a culture of developmental politics in Yobe State, where the welfare of the state is placed at the forefront of political engagement.

He also assured that IPAC remains fully committed to playing its part in building a strong democratic foundation and promoting good governance.

In his response, Governor Buni expressed gratitude for the honor and urged politicians across the spectrum to eschew politics of bitterness.

He reminded stakeholders that Yobe State belongs to everyone, placing an obligation on all citizens to contribute positively to its growth.

The governor stressed that while individuals may belong to different political parties, the ultimate focus should always be putting the state first.

The event was formalized in a statement released by Mamman Mohammed, the Director-General of Press and Media Affairs to the Governor.
