Church donates 3 classrooms to Nasarawa govt.
A church in Nasarawa State has donated a block of three classrooms to the Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board (NSUBEB).
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints constructed and equipped the classrooms in Luvu Madaki Community of Karu Local Government Area (LGA) of the state.
It then, donated the facility to LGA Education Authority school in Luvu, which is under NSUBEB.
Receiving the building on Friday, NSUBEB Chairman, Dr Kassim Mohamed-Kassim, appreciated the church for donating the modern facility for the benefit of children in the community.
The NSUBEB Chairman, who was represented by a member of the board, Mr Allahana Attah, described the facility as a beacon of hope for rural education.
Mohamed-Kasim underscored the vital role of religious institutions in bridging infrastructural gaps and complementing the efforts of the state government.
The board chairman commended the church, led by Mr Isaac Mensah, for providing a conducive learning environment and praised the Head Teacher, staff, and community for their collaboration.

He noted that education was the cornerstone of power and knowledge and urged the community and school management to take collective responsibility for protecting the facilities against vandalism and theft.
Earlier, Mensah said that the gesture was aimed at complementing the efforts of the government, thereby improving on creating an enabling environment for teaching and learning.
He pledged to collaborate with the management of the school and the community to form a monitoring committee to safeguard the facility in the school.
