Zamfara CP embarks on familiarization to police formations, traditional rulers

The Commissioner of Police in Zamfara, Mr Hussaini Rabi’u has embarked on familiarization tour to police area commands, divisional offices and 17 emirate councils of the state.

This is contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Thursday, signed by the Police Police Relations Officer, SP Muhammad Shehu.

The statement reads: ln order to familiarise himself with the officers and men of the command as well as to assess the existing security arrangements in the state.

“The Commissioner of Police, Zamfara State Police command, Mr Hussaini Rabiu has commenced tour of familiarisation to police formations and traditional rulers.

The CP accompanied by other senior police officers in the state visited Anka police Area Command which comprised Anka, Gummi and Bukkuyum police divisions.

The CP during the visit also paid courtesy call on Royal Highnesses, the Emirs of Anka, Gummi and Bukkuyum emirates, where he commended them for their support and cooperation to the Police and other security agencies.

He solicited for more support to successfully bring the lingering security challenges to an end.

The CP further addressed officers and men of the three divisions where he tasked them to be more alive to their responsibilities.

He also charged them to always work in line with the constitutional provision and other professional ethics so that good image and credibility of the force can be projected.

The CP also used the opportunity to interface with other security personnel where he called for a robust inter-agency cooperation and synergy.

He also called for cross-fertilisation of timely and credible information that will assist in taking prompt action against the activities of criminal elements.

Earlier in their response, the three Emirs and the local government sole administrators, commended the CP and officers of the command for their unalloyed commitments and sacrifice in ensuring peace and safety of the people of the state.
