Kankara abduction: Governor Matawalle deserves commendation – PDP
The Zamfara State Chapter of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has said that the Governor of the State, Alhaji Bello Matawalle should be commended for his effort over the rescue of the kidnapped students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State.
The State Publicity Secretary of the Party, Faruku Shatiman-Rijiya told newsmen in Gusau while reacting to the recent statement by the Acting Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Yekini Nabena.
Shatiman-Rijiya said that Governor Matawalle, through the peace and reconciliation programme initiated by his administration to address the lingering security challenges in the State has yielded positive result not only in Zamfara, but also in the Whole North Western States.
He said such result led to the rescue of the kidnapped students of Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State.
He lamented the recent statement credited to the Acting Deputy National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressived Congress (APC), Nabeba, saying that one of the PDP Governors was aiding banditry in the North West.
“This is very unfortunate, while the federal Government, Nigerians and entire world were eager to see the release of the students, the APC came up with this unnecessary claim.
“Let Nabena name that Governor that was aiding, alleged aiding banditry in the North West as he alleged,” Shatiman-Rijiya stated.
