Adamawa’s Igbo Community Backs Gov. Fintiri for a Second Term


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri Tuesday granted an audience to the Igbo community at the conference hall government house yola, the Governor stated that the meeting was convened at his request to unite the state’s Igbo community and promote peaceful coexistence.


He described the Igbo people as resourceful and progressive, which is why the government will not sit back and watch them disintegrate, but will instead work to maintain peace among them.
He also stated that his administration has been fair to all Adamawa residents and has ensured equitable distribution of resources to all types of people.


He urged them to band together and work with the government, and to avoid minor political differences that would divide them as Nigerians.


He insisted that his administration had been successful in reducing the threat of insecurity that had afflicted citizens, including Igbos, and in bringing stability to the state’s various nooks and crannies.
The detribalised Governor gave three slots for two men and a woman to be selected from among the Igbos for appointment in his administration

In his remarks, Chief Fidelis Umeh, Leader and President General of the Igbo Cultural Association, in Adamawa state has formally endorsed Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri’s reelection in the 2023 general elections.


He equally thanked the Governor for bringing them together to resolve their differences amicably.


In Attendance are SSG Mallam Bashir Ahmad, Chief of Staff Government house Professor Maxwell Gidado, Members House of Assembly, PDP Chairman Barrister AT shehu among top government officials
