ADSI inaugurates skills acquisition training for 56 beneficiaries in Zamfara


The Arewa Development Support Initiative (ADSI) has commenced three weeks training for 56 beneficiaries on Catering Services, Poultry and Kneeting.


Speaking at the flag off of the three weeks training, tagged ” ADSI 2022 skills acquisition training” in Gusau on Tuesday the state Coordinator of the NGO, Hajiya Sa’adatu Isma’il Garkuwa said the training is aimed to empower unemployed women and youths.


“This is also to complement government’s at all levels in reducing poverty and hardship among citizens.
“This is our annual event, we give emphasis on skills acquisition training in 2022 considering its importance in promoting future of our teeming unemployed youths.


“While last year, we trained beneficiaries on health care issues”, the Coordinator said.
According to her, the organization has branches in all the 19 Northern states, we source funds for the activities of this organization through the monthly taxes and contributions among our members.

In a remark, the State Commissioner for Wealth Creation, Alhaji Yahaya Muhammad Kanoma commended the NGO for organizing the training.


Kanoma called on the participants to pay more attention during the training in order to benefit from the training.
The commissioner reiterated the state government’s commitments to continue to partner with organizations within and outside the states in wealth creation, poverty eradication and general development of the state.


Earlier, in a welcome address, the Organizing Secretary of the NGO, Hajiya Aisha Abdu Gusau said the 56 participants comprising males and females were drawn from the 14 LGAs of the state.


Gusau charged the participants to utilize what they would be trained during the training for their future benefits and the society in general.
