Aliyu Assures Corps Members of Adequate Security in Sokoto.
Donates four thousand naira to each corp member in the camp

The Governor of Sokoto State, Dr Ahmed Aliyu has assured corps members posted to the state of Adequate Security through out their service year.
Aliyu made the disclosure on Friday at the swearing in of 2023 batch ‘B’ stream 1 at Wamakko permanent orientation camp, Sokoto.

“Let me reiterates the commitment of our administration to accord priority on the security of corps members posted to the state he stated .
He explained that his government would continue to leverage on the resources of the state to give maximum support to the programmes of NYSC scheme in the state and the nation at large .
The Governor enjoined the Corps Members to imbibe the spirit of discipline , tolerance to enable them participate in all camp activities which form a solid foundation for the service year.
He urged them to uphold the objective of NYSC which are integrity, patriotism,, promoting unity, discipline, selflessness, reliability, and team spirit at all times.
Aliyu stated that as part of his administration effort to empower the teeming youth in the state, the state government would partner NYSC skills aquisition and enterprenuership development programme, (SAED) for self reliance.
The Governor further enjoined the Corps Members to be good ambassadors of their communities and that of the scheme .
The Governor donated four thousand naira (N4000) to each corp member participating in the orientation exercise in the state.
Earlier the NYSC coordinator in the state, Mr Usman Yakubu Yaro (YY) congratulated the Governor on his electoral victory.

He thanked the Governor for donating four thousand naira to each corp member in the camp saying the gesture would go along way in ameriolating the plight of the corps members.
The coordinator implored the corps members to be disciplined and diligent stressing that camp activities are regimentals.
He enjoined them to participate in all camp activities saying misconducts and truancy will not be tolerated.
The coordinator thanked the military, paramilitaries , Sultan of Sokoto Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar 111 , other stakeholders in the state for their unflinching support to the scheme .
The chief judge of Sokoto state justice Muhammad Saaidu Sifawa represented by justice Abubakar Abubakar Zaki administered the oath of allegiance on the corps members.
The highlight of the event is the entertainment of the corps members by Sokoto state cultural troupe .
