APC INAUGURATES ZAMFARA EXECUTIVES


The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Tuesday inaugurated its Executive Council members and Zonal Vice Chairmen in Zamfara.


The 37 state officials and three zonal vice chairmen took the oath of office in Gusau.They also received their Certificate of Return from the state APC Chairman, Alhaji Tukur Danfulani.


Danfulani was among States APC Chairmen inaugurated earlier in Abuja by the party’s national leadership.
He urged the new officials to ensure unity among all party members and work towards making the APC the strongest political party in Zamfara.


“With the kind of support and cooperation enjoyed by party leaders from all stakeholders, including our teeming supporters, youths and women, I have confidence that the party will record resounding victory in 2023.
“I am using this medium to call on our inaugurated executives to put party interest first before any other issue.

“I believe that fairness and justice are key issues in promoting peace, unity and stability of our great party.
“We should not let our personal interest to affect the confidence of our teeming supporters in the state”, he added.
The party chairman, commended the National Caretaker Committee of the APC, led by Gov. Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, for its maturity, fairness and justice in running the affairs of the party.


“I want to use this opportunity to commend Gov. Bello Matawalle and former Gov. Ahmad  Yariman Bakura for their kind moral support to the party”, Danfulani said.


Speaking on behalf of the inaugurated executives, the state APC Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Dangaladima, said they would work in line with the party’s constitution and guidelines.
He assured that they would strengthen party unity and ensure the implementation of the APC manifesto for the development of the state.


Meanwhile, a former Speaker, Zamfara House of Assembly, Alhaji Sanusi Rikiji, has declared his intention to contest for Zamfara Central Senatorial seat.


Rikiji wants to replace Sen. Hassan Nasiha who resigned from the Senate and is now the state Deputy Governor.
He announced a donation of N10 million to the state chapter of the party, to enable it participate in the March 26 National Convention of the party, in Abuja.
