APC lauds release of abducted Zamfara school girls

Zamfara chapter,  has commended the release of 279 students of Government Girls Secondary School Jangebe in Talata-Mafara Local Government Area of the state who were kidnapped recently by unknown gunmen.

This was contained in a statement issued in Gusau on Tuesday by the Chairman of the State APC Caretaker Committee Alhaji Lawal Liman.

“The APC wishes to express its gratitude and appreciation to Allah (SWA) President Muhammadu Buhari and government of Zamfara  for the safe rescue of the Jangebe students.

“We rejoice with the Federal Government, security agencies, government and good people of Zamfara especially parents and guardians of the abductees

“The APC congratulates the students and their families for regaining their freedom after being held in captivity for four days in a traumatised condition in the hands of criminals who are working  against the innocent and  peace loving people of  the state and the entire country,”_ Liman said.

Liman also commended  efforts of security agencies in their collective efforts to curtail the menace of banditry, cattle rustling, kidnapping and other criminal activities.

He urged  government and security agencies to come up with solid plans for schools protection in order not to jeopardise the girl child education and to ensure total stoppage of criminal activities in the state and country in general.

“We are appealing to the general public to be adamant in prayers,  seeking divine  intervention to avert all the security challenges bedeviling our progress.
