APC supporters throng Suru, commit to electing Kaura, others 

Thousands of APC supporters from across Kebbi State on Saturday thronged the historic town of Suru in Suru Local Government with a vow to cast their votes for the party’s gubernatorial candidate and its other flag bearers from top to bottom.

APC supporters particularly women,youth groups and large numbers of Fulanis with their families thronged the venue of the campaign rally in Suru town .

Addressing the mammoth crowd of the APC faithfuls, the party’s governoship candidate, Dr Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu recalled that Governor Atiku Bagudu and his predecessor, DG, campaign council, Alhaji Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari has executed myriad of projects in the area such as the Dakingari to Suru road.

Kauran Gwandu, therefore, pledged to emulate them, if elected, or even surpass the duo.

The gubernatorial candidate further appealed to the people of the area to massively cast their votes for APC from from the Presidential flagbearer to members of the State House of Assembly.

He also thanked the people for their continuous love and support to the APC-led Federal Government and the administration of Bagudu.

“If elected, I will not fail the people of the state and the area in particular. Suru is indispensable to APC.

“We are not however surprised by nammoth crowd as Suru is home to APC. Everybody is here, women, men, the young and the aged.

“We will do more for women, youths, aged and all the vulnerable groups,”Idris, assured.

Also speaking, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, DG campaign Council of the party said that the visit was just a home coming and not for any campaign.

“All progressives and peace loving indigenes of Suru LGA are here and PDP has done nothing to the people here.

“The broken down bridge here will be fully rehabilitated in the next two months, the State Government has already awarded contract for the project and more projects will come your way if you massively vote for APC,”Dakingari said.

Also speaking, a member of the House of Representatives representing Bagudo/Suru federal constituency, Hon. Bello Kaoje, Dallatun Kaoje said that APC has lofty plans for the local government just like it has been focusing on it.

Kaoje said,”anybody from this local government who is not in APC is just deceiving himself and he is part of the anti progress forces.”

The legislator maintained that Suru remains APC 100 per cent,saying, “we will vote for APC candidates at all levels.”

The National Treasurer of RIFAN, an indigene of the area, Alhaji Ibrahim Suru, AI Suru, acknowledged the large crowd of APC supporters at the event, assuring that Suru is 100 per cent APC.

He urged the people not to allow themselves to be deceived by anybody, promising, “we will massively cast our votes for APC.”

The APC local Government Chairman, Alhaji Bako Bala in his welcome address at the campaign rally thanked APC supporters profoundly for the large turn out in support of the party.

He told the crowd that in view of the records of achievements of Governor Bagudu and the former Governor Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari, DG campaign , Kauran Gwandu don’t have to campaign in Suru because Suru is their home.

Bala expressed appreciation to the Governor particularly on his effort to make the local Government secure from activities of banditry.

Former House of representatives member, Hon Hassan Abdullahi Suru assured the APC gubernatorial candidate of massive support from people of the area.

He canvassed for votes for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all APC candidates. 

‘APC leaders in the state from former Governor, Alhaji Saidu Nasamu Dakingari DG campaign and Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu have all demonstrated good leadership .

 ‘ They achieved remarkable achievements in education, health particularly in agriculture where the State made landmark,’ he averred.

Commissioner of Agriculture, Hon Maigari Abdullahi said APC  had the most credible candidates from the Presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu to House of Assembly members.

‘ Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu our presidential candidate has remarkable record of achievements, he transformed Lagos State to what it is today’, he averred.

‘Similarly, Governor Bagudu did his best on road construction, health , education and above all in agriculture, so vote for Kauran Gwandu, vote APC “, he appealed.

The retired deputy comptroller general of Customs, Abubakar Gari Malam (Shatiman Gwandu, Hon Umar Altine Suru ( Dan Fari) , State House Assembly member representing Suru, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro, Enabo, PA to the Governor, Alhaji Ibrahim Bagudu spoke on the need for people to give all APC candidates maximum support and vote for the party in 2023 election.

They outlined myriads of developmental projects carried out by APC led administration in Suru and what has become imperative for people of Suru to vote for APC.

The State House of Assembly candidate representing Suru, Barrister Faruk MaiSudan promised to consolidate and improved on the gains of development already recorded in the area.

Earlier, the APC State Chairman, Abubakar Muhammad Kana Zuru urged people to cast their votes for APC, he charged stakeholders of the party at the grassroots level to mobilise people to collect their PVCs.

He said 1,600 women  from the Local Government would soon receive empowerment from Government to improve their standard of living.

APC gubernatorial candidate running mate, Senator Umar Abubakar Tafida urged people to collect their PVCs and vote for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed,Dr. Nasir Idris and all APC candidates.

The APC campaign train afterwards paid courtesy visit to the District Head of Suru, Dagwadejin Suru, Alhaji Muhammadu Bello, District Head of Giro, Alhaji Saidu Giro and the District Head of Bakuwai, Alhaji Tukur Aliyu to seek for their royal blessings.
