Beware….NAHCON is not recruiting – Fatima Sandra

70

The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has issued a warning to intending Muslim pilgrims, medical team applicants and other interested parties about the circulation of fake messages regarding recruitment into NAHCON’s medical team and corporate organisation.

The Commission, in a releases signed by its Assistant Director, Public Affairs, Fatima Sanda Usara, said it had received reports of misleading information being sent to individuals, falsely claiming recruitment for full-time officers within NAHCON or as medical team members and other Hajj ad-doc committee members.

The Commission clarified that it was not currently recruiting any staff and any messages suggesting otherwise were false.

“We advise the public to only follow the official application process for the Hajj medical team, which was still ongoing and exclusively conducted through the official NAHCON portal,” stressing that it would never ask for money from any applicant during the recruitment process, as the application was free of charge. The Commission urged the public to be wary of scammers trying to take advantage of unsuspecting individuals.

The Commission said, “we are working hard to identify and arrest those behind the fake messages and wish the general public will cooperate with us by remaining alert and reporting any suspicious activities.”

The Commission reiterated that it was not currently recruiting any category of officers and any messages suggesting such recruitment were false. The Commission said the official application process for the Hajj medical team was ongoing and could only be accessed through the official NAHCON portal at nigeriahajjcom.gov.ng.
