Border Security: Minister of Interior Commissions 30 Vehicles for Immigration Service

In a bid to bolster border security measures in Nigeria, the Honourable Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubinmi Tunji-Ojo, alongside the Comptroller General of Immigration, Kemi Nanna Nandap, unveiled thirty operational vehicles at the Service Headquarters in Abuja on the 22nd of March 2024.

During the ceremony, the Comptroller General of Immigration (CGI), Kemi Nanna Nandap, disclosed plans for a comprehensive restructuring of the Border Corps framework aimed at fortifying the nation’s border security.

CGI Nandap accentuated the pivotal role of surveillance and patrol activities in upholding national sovereignty, ensuring citizen safety, fostering economic prosperity, and facilitating secure migration across the country.

The event attracted a host of dignitaries, including Heads of sister security Agencies, technical partners, and various stakeholders, underscoring the significance of collaborative efforts in safeguarding Nigeria’s borders and promoting overall national security.
