Day Muri Royal Family honored Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan

One of the rarest things to witness is a royal recommendation and honor to someone for excellent public service. Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan recently received this rather rare honor when the Muri royal family organized a reception in his honor where he was given a royal award for excellent public service in Jalingo.
At the reception held in Jalingo at the instance of the his Majesty the Galadima of Muri Alhaji Tukur Aba Tukur, Jauro was commended for his hugely successful medical career, mind bugging reforms at the State Primary Health Care Development Agency and his new role as the Chairman, Caretaker Committee for Jalingo local government area of Taraba state.
Tukur who did not spare words as he showered the illustrious son with royal praises and honor urged others especially the young people to tow the path that Jauro has set before them if they want to attend greatness.
“I must say that our son has proven to be an exemplary leader. His track record at the State Primary Health Care Development Agency speaks volumes besides a well accomplished medical career.
“Today, we have chosen to come together to celebrate him on his appointment as the CTC Chairman of Jalingo local government area. Indeed, we believe that this is only a stepping stone and not his destination. This is important because often time, we fail to appreciate good work appropriately.
“We are comfortable doing this because everyone close to him or who monitors his work will agree that he truly deserves this commendation. Despite a hugely successful medical career, Jauro remains down to earth humble, very industrious, easily accessible, and very sensitive to the plight of the people around him.
“Jauro has proven himself a worthy beacon of light especially for our younger ones who are finding it increasingly difficult to identify true role models and mentors. If he is a successful man today, it is not through Yahoo Yahoo. It is not be cutting corners. Indeed, he has proven that, with sufficient dedication and determination, there is little or nothing that can not be achieved.
“Today, we are gathered to celebrate him on his remarkable achievements and to urge him to do more. But this gathering is not just about Jauro. It is about you the younger generation. It is aimed to send message across to you that you can do it and attend greatness through hard work and diligence. You must not allow peer pressure to lure you into a life of regrets.
“Many young people are depressed because they aspire to live beyond their limits. The social media hype that you see is not reality. What is real is the proceeds of hard work and dedication. What is real is a life dedicated in service to humanity. This is a life of legacies. This is a life that does not go unnoticed. This is a life that pays and is pleasing even to Almighty Allah. It is our expectation that he will do even more in this new responsibility he is given”.

In tune with the times, the Galadima of Muri Alhaji Tukur used the occasion to urge politicians to eschew politics of bitterness and conduct themselves like persons who really want to lead others.
“As we are all well aware, electioneering is at us again. This is an opportunity for us to elect new leaders. It is important that we are properly guided in making our choices. Those who instigate crisis can never be good leaders. We must look out for those who work for peace. Those who are available for the people. We must look out for those who have proven records of competence, integrity, honor, humility, selflessness and the interest of the people at heart.
“Let me call on our youth to shun violence and resist been used as thugs by desperate politicians who only remember them when they need them to do their dirty jobs.
“Instead, elect leaders who will provide an enabling environment for you to thrive using your youthful exuberance, strength, talent and skills. There are endless opportunities out there for the youth. All that is needed is the right operating system. If you elect the right leaders, they will make way for you to succeed on your own by exploring the opportunities that your environment presents. The social media is a money spinner if properly harnessed. Innovations in Artificial Intelligence, robotics and other areas are in dire need of exploration. Chose your leaders wisely” Tukur said.
The man of the moment Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan in his response commended the state governor Darius Ishaku for the opportunity to serve and appreciated the royal family for the honor.
He promised to put in even more efforts to ensure that he delivers on his mandate and leaves Jalingo local government area a lot better than he met it.
“I feel utterly humbled by this kind gesture and the warm show of love. I assure you that I am already consulting with various sections of our society in a bid to bringing everyone on board and work for the common good of the local government.
“I am aware of the security challenges we have but I am confident that our engagement with the youth and other stakeholders will put all of these to rest. We would intensify engagement especially in the days leading to next year’s election so that we would have a rancour free election.
“We have identified key areas for intervention across the local government and we are already putting measures in place to see that we make the best of the opportunities at our disposal to tackle these issues, the paucity of funds notwithstanding.
“I know that a lot of you, especially the young ones will look at me and say I am a lucky man. Let me tell you that you create your luck yourself. If you fail to chose the right virtues, you can have all the luck and still fail. It has not been a bed of roses. I have had to make tough decisions but I am always guided by the principle that the greater good supercedes personal aggrandizement. My contentment has always been in seeing others better off through my efforts.
“I assure you that I will continue to mentor the younger ones, to serve the people with every opportunity at my disposal and stay focused, knowing that others are looking up to me. I least expected this especially coming from the royal family. That makes it all the more very special for me and I won’t take it lightly” Jauro said.
Jauro was presented a a plaque and Medal by his Majesty while the women and youth, mostly of the royal family sang his praise.
Jauro Hassans’ is indeed a life well celebrated while he is still alive, rather than after life as is often the case, and will for ages to come, remain a bright beacon that will direct the path for many proteges.
