FRSC arraigns 30 traffic offenders before mobile court in Kebbi.

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), in Kebbi, has arraigned 30 offenders before the Magistrate Mobile Court for various traffic offences in the state.

In a statement signed by SRC, Uko O Uko, the Public Education Officer of the state command, and made available to the newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, said the mobile court was carried out on Monday.

“Some of the offenders offences were brought with offences before the Magistrate, which include: overloading, seatbelt, number plate, driver’s license and vehicle license violations.

“His Worship, Dahiru Jega, the Mobile Court Magistrate of Kebbi State applauded the timely institution of the Mobile Court as he posited that it would reduce the rate at which people commit traffic offences,” the statement said.

It added that the Sector Commander, CC Danasabe Lawal Shehu, advised motorists within the state to abide by all Traffic Rules and Regulations.

“He further noted that Road Traffic Crashes (RTC) which are caused by three major factors : human, mechanical and environmental are avoidable.

“He also noted that the Mobile Court was part of strategies of the on going FRSC nationwide Special Patrol tagged ‘Operation Zero Tolerance’ which is geared towards mitigating road traffic crashes during the Yuletide.

“Some offenders were educated on the dangers of the violations and allowed to go,” the statement said.
