Gov. Bagudu directs renovation of the burnt Dadin Kowa Market
The Kebbi State Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu has directed the state Public Works Agency to embark on renovation of the Dadin Kowa Market in Maiyama Local Government area of the state which was razed by fire recently.
The state Chairman of the agency ,Alhaji Bello Dantani, made this known while briefing newsmen in Binrin Kebbi on Tuesday.
He said,” The Kebbi state Governor, Alhaji Atiku Bagudu has given the agency a directive to embark on the renovation of Dadin Kowa market which was recently burnt as a result of fire incident.
“The stakeholders of the local government and the affected victims have already met on the issue to ensure involvement of those concerned in the local government.”
Dantani added that engineers from the state Ministry of Works have been mobilized to the market in compliance with the directive of the governor to ensure prompt action.

It could be recalled that on Sunday the inferno raised down unidentified shops and stalls in Dadin Kowa market in Maiyama LGA.
Bagudu visited the market on the day the incident happened to assess the level of destruction caused by the fire.
The Governor sympathized with the victims and assured them that prompt action would be taken to return the market to its glory.
