Agribusiness Support Programme: We’re On Course- Fintiri 


Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri says the Agribusiness support programme of his administration is on course. He gave the assurance during a visit to the Ibadan Abattoir on Wednesday where he inspected the multimillion naira facility. 

The Governor who was accompanied by his host Governor Oluseyi Makinde of Oyo State noted that Adamawa is on its way to building a viable economy that can support its economic growth. 

Oyo State which also has an Agribusiness initiative Governor Fintiri said will make a good ally.The Adamawa Agribusiness Support Programme is the first of its kind in Nigeria’s capital market. 

It is the first Agribusiness bond with a creative emphasis on the demand side of the agricultural value chain. Governor Fintiri said the State has a huge potential that is enticing with a good business environment and governance policy to market dynamics that is safe and guaranteed.

During the visit, the two Governor’s were conducted round the meat processing facility. Adamawa State Government is collaborating with the Qatari Government to construct a Modern Abattoir in Yola the State capital to cater for its own Agribusiness initiative.

While at the Government House Ibadan, Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri condoled with the Government and People of Oyo State over the loss of former Governor of the State Christopher Alau Akala who died recently. 

Governor Fintiri described the former Governor as a dogged and principled politician who contributed to the development of Oyo State during his tenure as  Governor. 

While in the State, Governor Fintiri is expected to commission some projects in Saki town constructed by Governor Makinde on Thursday.
