Governor Fintiri Mourns Passing of Idi Amin

A top member of Adamawa State Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), member of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council and ally of ex-Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, lhaji Idirissu Amin, known as Idi Amin, has passed away in Abuja after a protracted illness.

In a condolence message issued by the Chief Press Secretary to Adamawa State governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, state; Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has on behalf of the Government and the good people of Adamawa State extended deep condolences to the family and people of Maiha Local Government area following the passing of Hon Idi Amin the immediate past Chairman of the Council.

Idi Amin was described as a fearless political activist who rendered immeasurable service to the nation.

The Governor paid tribute to late Idi Amin as a dedicated leader who had served Maiha Local Government and the State in various leadership roles.

Governor Fintiri underscored that the thoughts and prayers of the people of Adamawa State are with the people of Maiha during this period of mourning.

“I offer my deep condolences to the family as we mourn the passing of a fearless political activist who was a leader in his own right. Our sadness is compounded by this loss at a time the State needs the services of Hon Idi Amin; I pray Allah grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and forgive his sins and grant him Aljannah Firdausi.
