Governor Fintiri Mourns Prof. Jatau
Adamawa State Governor Rt. Hon Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, CON, has received with deep sorrow the news of the passing of the Commissioner for Agriculture, Professor David Jatau, who died last night after a brief illness in Abuja.
Governor Fintiri described the late Commissioner as a loyal and dedicated public officer who distinguished himself both as an academic of repute and as a committed public servant.
“Professor Jatau was a man of intellect, integrity, and service. He brought his wealth of knowledge from the ivory tower into government and deployed it diligently for the growth of our agricultural sector and the wellbeing of our people,” the Governor stated.

According to Governor Fintiri, the late Commissioner was instrumental in driving key agricultural policies aimed at improving food security, supporting farmers, and positioning Adamawa as a leading agrarian state. “His humility, candour, and unwavering commitment to duty will be sorely missed.”
“On behalf of the Government and good people of Adamawa State, I extend my heartfelt condolences to his immediate family, associates, the Ministry of Agriculture, the academic community, and all those he touched with his life of service,” Governor Fintiri said.
The Governor prayed God Almighty to grant his soul eternal rest and give his family, colleagues, and the entire state the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
