YOBE STATE – Thousands of All Progressives Congress (APC) members across Yobe State have openly demonstrated overwhelming support and confidence in the party’s preferred gubernatorial aspirant for the 2027 general elections, Alhaji Baba Malam Wali mni.
This is contained in a statement issued and Signed by the media team leader Abdulmuminu kolo Gulani said the primary elections, conducted through direct voting involving party members with valid APC membership cards, witnessed massive participation and strong solidarity for Baba Malam Wali across the state’s three senatorial zones.
Results from the 178 wards affirmed that APC faithful have given the mandate to Baba Malam Wali as their flagbearer in the 2027 gubernatorial election.
Party supporters expressed optimism that Baba Malam Wali possesses the leadership qualities, experience, and political capacity required to sustain the developmental strides achieved under the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni.
Observers described the level of support shown by ordinary party members as a clear reflection of the prevailing mood within the APC in Yobe State. They noted that the direct primary system allowed grassroots members to openly demonstrate where their loyalty lies.
The peaceful conduct of the exercise and the maturity displayed by party members were also commended by stakeholders, who described Yobe APC as one of the most united and organised chapters of the ruling party in Nigeria.
In a statement issued after the exercise by the Baba Malam Wali Media Team, the aspirant appreciated APC members across the state for their continued trust, loyalty, and overwhelming support for his aspiration.
He described the massive show of solidarity as a sign of unity, confidence, and shared commitment towards the continued peace, stability, and development of the state.

Baba Malam Wali called on all those who contested against him to join hands with him and the greater APC family in improving the quality of life of the people of Yobe State.
He also congratulated all candidates who emerged victorious during the Senate, House of Representatives, and State House of Assembly primaries, including the incumbent Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni; Distinguished Senator Mohammed Ibrahim Bomoi; and Distinguished Senator Ahmed Ibrahim Lawan.
The aspirant further urged APC members to remain peaceful, united, and law-abiding while continuing to support the party’s vision and leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“Today’s exercise has clearly shown that APC members across Yobe State are united and committed to the progress of our party. Their overwhelming support and encouragement remain a source of strength and motivation for us all,” he said.
