How Yobe lecturer allegedly molests, rape students
In light of the recent arrest of Mr. Adamu Garba Hudu, a lecturer at Al-Ma’arif Nursing School in Potiskum, Yobe State, on charges of rape and molestation, disturbing details have emerged about his alleged exploitation of students.
One victim, who chose to remain anonymous, disclosed how Mr. Hudu exploited her vulnerability by initially offering assistance with her personal health issues. However, their interactions quickly took a sinister turn as he professed love for her and made promises of academic favouritism in exchange for sexual favours.
The victim’s ordeal escalated when Mr. Hudu allegedly threatened her with academic repercussions if she disclosed their interactions, while despite her fear, she sought assistance from the student affairs division, which advised her to gather evidence.
Meanwhile, reports indicate that Mr. Hudu has been dismissed from his position at Al-Ma’arif Nursing School. However, there has been no official statement from the Yobe state government regarding the matter.
Further investigations have revealed that Mr. Hudu, who is reportedly married with two wives and seven children, remains in police custody.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Yobe State, Dungus Abdulkarim, confirmed that the accused will be brought before the court for proceedings on Monday.
