I resign my appointment to tender My loyalty to Senator Marafa—Maikatako
The Permanent Commissioner, Zamfara State Hajj Commission, Alhaji Sirajo Garba Maikatako has said that he resigned his appointment to tender his loyalty to Senator Kabiru Marafa following the recent reconciliation of the warring factions of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the state.
Maikatako who is the leader of Senator Marafa loyalists in the state disclosed reasons for his resignation from the position with the state government
while meeting with APC facebookers in Gusau on Thursday.

The meeting was attended by Comrade Bello Bakyasuwa Maradun, the Spokesperson of Senator Kabiru Marafa and APC facebookers from the 14 LGA of the state.
“My resignation is to tender my political loyalty to Sen. Kabiru Marafa in promoting the recent reconciliation by the APC stakeholders in the state.
“My decision is whole about my commitments to support my political mentor Sen. Marafa to promote peace, unity in our great party, the APC”, Maikatako said.
He described the recent attack on media to Senator Marafa by the State PDP Secretary, Alhaji Ibrahim Dangaladima as unfortunate.
“My expectations to PDP and all political parties in the state is for them congratulate us as APC members on the recent reconciliation achieved by our great party.
“But to my surprise, some of the PDP leaders embarked attacking our leaders on social media, making hate speeches on against them”, he added.
He called on the PDP led government in the state to avoid politics of bitterness, witch-hunting or due or die politics.
Maikatako called on APC facebookers to avoid blackmailing or hate speeches on social media, urging them to give emphasis in promoting peace, love and unity among party members.
“As from today, I am directing you that, you should not react to anybody who accuse Senator Marafa or any chieftain of our great party on social media.
“We should continue to pray to APC leaders in the state, Alhaji Abdul’aziz Yari to succeed in his move to contest for the APC National Chairmanship position.
He called on PDP led government in the state to give emphasis on governance not political activities.
“We are calling on Governor Matawalle to face governance so as to provide meaningful projects for the people of the state.
“We should wait until when the time of politics comes”, he explained.
He expressed optimism on the APC victory in the 2023 general elections following the recent reconciliation by the stakeholders in the state.
Among the prominent APC facebookers also attended the meeting were Shamsu Kasida, Ukatashat Gusau Lawal Activist among others.
