Insecurity: Aliyu Seeks More Synergy Among Security Agencies

Sokoto State Governor, Ahmed Aliyu  has called for increased collaboration among security agencies to adequately tackle the insecurity in the country.

He made the call on Friday at the passing out parade of newly recruited member of Nigeria  Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC), in Sokoto 

Represented by his special adviser on Security matters , Col Ahmad Usman rtd, Aliyu said his administration will do everything to support security agencies to combat security challenges bedeviling the state.

He noted that , as part of his government commitment to contain insecurity , the state has recruited  2600 security guard corps which he said will collaborate with security agencies in the state.

He maintained that the state security guard corps will provide intelligence information to the security agencies to ease their works.

He congratulated the newly passing out corps ,encouraging them to serve with pride and  vigour stressing his administration will always stand by them. 

On his part the Commandant General Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps, Dr Ahmad Abubakar Audi congratulated the new personnel for their resilience and determination during the training.

He stated that today is unique for the fact that it is marked to commemorate  Civil Defense Forces all over the globe.

Represented by the Commandant (NSCDC) Sokoto command , Bello Alkali Argungun  said the theme of this year’s celebration ” Honor Heroes and Promote Safety Skills is apt .

He said the celebration spotlights the bravery of men and women who protected our communities during disaster, crisis and period of emergencies.

He added that the day was founded by the International Civil Defence Organization (I CDO) .

He urged the newly personnel to be diligence and professional in discharging their duties.
