Kefas inaugurates Daisy Danjuma Ultra-Modern Hospital in Takum
Gov. Agbu Kefas of Taraba on Friday inaugurated the Daisy Danjuma Ultra-Modern Eye Hospital in Takum, constructed by the T.Y. Danjuma Foundation.
The governor at the ceremony in Takum, thanked Retired Gen. Theophilus Danjuma for developmental initiatives in the state.
He commended Danjuma’s contributions, highlighting the significance of the Sen. Daisy Danjuma Eye Hospital Takum as a huge achievement.
In his remarks, Danjuma underscored the importance of peaceful coexistence in Taraba as it attracts investors.
He also stressed the need for infrastructure improvement, ICT training, and attitudinal change to drive progress in the state.
Mr Joshua Campeneer, the Country Director of Development Africa, said that the hospital is an extension of the T.Y. Danjuma Foundation Medical Centre.
He added that the hospital had been providing services at subsidised rates in the past three months and would offer eye surgeries, eyeglasses and related services.

Dr Oten Okolo, the National Coordinator of the National Eye Health Programmes, described the Sen. Daisy Danjuma Eye Hospital as a beacon of hope for those in need of eye services.
Dr Ugo Okoli, a Trustee of the T.Y. Danjuma Foundation, said the hospital would provide cutting-edge eye care services to residents.
The Voice Media Trust (VMT NEWS) reports that the ceremony was attended by the Taraba Deputy Governor Aminu Alkali, the Chairman, Middle Belt Forum, Retired Gen. Zamani Lakwot, former Executive Secretary of TETFUND, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, among others.
