Kogi Speaker visit Zamfara, lauds Gov Matawalle for upgrading assembly’s complex

The Speaker of Kogi State House, Mr Mathew Kolawale has commended Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State for upgrading the State Assembly complex.

Kolawale made the commendation in Gusau on Thursday when he paid advocacy visit to Zamfara State House of Assembly.

“I am happy with what I saw today at this complex, I can see the beautiful assembly complex with modern equipments.

“I commend Governor Matawalle for providing this infrastructure for the state Lawmakers.

“This indicate that the governor Matawalle want legislature to work effectively in this state”, Kolawale said.

According to him, I led members of Kogi State assembly for advocacy visit to the state assembly.

“We are here for advocacy to this house about the candidature of our amiable Governor Alhaji Yahaya Bello for the presidential race in 2023.

“We are here to advocate for you as our colloques about the candidature of our Governor Yahaya Bello.

“As we all know, Kogi state house of assembly, we have declared our support to Presidential candidature of Kogi State Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello”, Kogi Speaker said.

“We are hear to introduce you the youngest governor Governor in the country who is aspiring for President of this country.

“We have cordial relationship with him, he assent all the bills we sent to him.

“He did well in promoting security sector in Kogi state, infrastructural development, women empowerment and health care sector among others

My Governor has religious tolerance and as a young person he has the capacity to rule Nigeria to a better position”, he explained.

“I commend Zamfara Speaker and lawmakers the cordial relationship and warm reception given to us as we visit Zamfara”,

Though, Zamfara is a PDP rulling state while Kogi is APC rulling state, despite the political differences, we have confidence to visit this state to advocate the mission of our Governor because of the understanding between the two assemblies”, he explained.

Responding, the Speaker of Zamfara State House of Assembly, Alhaji Nasiru Magarya commended Kogi Speaker and entire lawmakers for the visit.

“On behalf of the entire members of the house, we are happy for having you today as colliques.

“This visit is very encouraging and commendable and this is an indication that the Kogi people are have good human relations”, Magarya said.

He commended Governor Matawalle for reconstructing the state assembly complex and cordial relationship with legislative arm of the state.

“I thanked entire members, staff of the house for their maximum said to our Leadership of the Sixth assembly”, Zamfara Speaker added.
