Kebbi State has seen a significant security breakthrough with the elimination of Lakurawa kingpin Maigemu, a mere week after Governor Nasir Idris pledged decisive action against criminal elements.
The operation, conducted by a joint team of security operatives and vigilantes, took place in the rugged terrain of Kuncin Baba, Arewa Local Government.
Following the Governor’s visit to grieving communities in Arewa Local Government, where he assured residents of immediate security reinforcements, a joint operation resulted in Maigemu’s neutralization at Kuncin Baba.

Security Director AbdulRahman Usman Zagga confirmed the success, highlighting the Governor’s proactive approach and logistical support to security personnel.
