Malami, while speaking to newsmen shortly after the exercise, urged party members to get themselves registered in the ongoing membership revalidation and registration exercise across the country.

“I urge party members to get themselves registered in the ongoing membership revalidation and registration exercise across the country.

” I also call on those who want to join or rejoin the party to come out in mass to get themselves registered in the ongoing membership revalidation exercise across the country.

“The exercise requires collective efforts of all party faithfuls with a view to support one another in order to re-strengthen the unity among party members, enhance internal democracy and bring more meaningful development in the country,” he said.

Malami said the APC was proud of Kebbi State as the only state in the Northwestern Nigeria that in 2019 surmounted voter apathy challenges and had increase in number of votes cast from 2015.

“We are living witness to how Federal Government led by President Muhammadu Buhari has constructed roads which are very concern to the states.

“Roads from Sokoto to Kebbi states which reach Niger state through Jega,Yauri and other local governments in the state, among others.

“Again, President Muhammad Buhari recognized Kebbi state as the first state and introduced Anchor Borrowers Programme which indeed has translated to massive rice production in Nigeria; and has transformed to food security in Nigeria.

“In Kebbi State, we would continue to provide employment, security, food security and indeed support their businesses among others.

“We would double our efforts to ensure that at the end of the day,we provide Federal Government interventions to support the people so that, they could contribute to the development of Nigeria” he said.

The minister, who commended the people for coming out en mass, thanked them for their patience and orderly manner in the ongoing exercise.
