The Force Commander, Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali has charged troops on the paramount importance of adherence to the established code of conduct during missions.

General Ali gave the charge while speaking to troops during visits to key MNJTF sectors situated in Mora, Bagasola, and Monguno.

General Ali in a stern message to troops emphasized the critical role of maintaining exemplary standards of behaviour to ensure mission success and preserve the honor of the force. He specifically warned against engaging in unethical practices such as sexual exploitation, looting, or violence towards innocent civilians.

The Force Commander highlighted that such misconduct not only tarnishes the reputation of the MNJTF but also erodes the trust and support of the local communities they are tasked to safeguard.

Acknowledging the bravery and dedication exhibited by the troops, General Ali expressed profound appreciation for their steadfast commitment to the mission of restoring peace in the troubled Lake Chad basin region. Despite the inherent challenges faced by the troops, he lauded their resilience in confronting adversity. He further urged the troops to remain constantly prepared, underscoring the unpredictable nature of their operational environment and the imperative of maintaining vigilance.

Beyond emphasizing operational conduct, the visit of the Force Commander served as a critical platform for evaluating the readiness and morale of the troops, ensuring their preparedness for the demanding tasks ahead.
